BIG IDEA: God abides with and preserves believers as He judges evil and heals creation.
Whether you view Revelation 11 literally or symbolically, we can all agree that this is an interlude to assure believers of God’s care as He slowly and surgically handles evil and heals creation. I mean, “Isn’t that what the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ proved?” He was trampled on and killed by Roman and Jewish leaders for testifying about God with words and actions, yet that was not the end for Him! After 3 days, the Lamb of God (who wasn’t really a farm animal) was raised from death and ascended into Heaven as depicted back in Revelation 5.
