BIG IDEA: Some stubborn people will never turn to God.
John’s message in Revelation is the same as Paul’s in Colossians…endure, overcome, and make a positive impact like Jesus did. Both warn us to wake up, resist, and speak into systems currently being dismantled by what Jesus did on the cross.
Revelation 16 warns that if we don’t stay awake and remain clothed by Christ, we may end up naked, exposed, and enslaved to the systems of this world and participate in her defeat. What a sad, unnecessary reversal of Exodus that would be, and I should ask: “In what ways are you mimicking or surrendering to this world rather than partnering with Jesus in restoring it?”
